OBJECTIVE
For this assignment, I wanted to design a tiger using graphical elements that captured the animal's agile and powerful nature. I used line, shape, and form to create a structurally strong composition.
RESEARCH
I began by researching reference images of tigers in different dynamic poses, specifically looking for those that reflected key characteristics of their agility. I chose the image on the far right because of the pronounced curve in the tiger's spine.
SKETCHES
After selecting the reference image, I began sketching my design on paper to figure out how I wanted to translate it digitally. At this stage, I focused on simplifying details to highlight the tiger's major elements.
REFINEMENT
After sketching physically, I refined my animal mark by emphasizing key shapes and graphical elements. I used large, round, sweeping lines as the base of the tiger shape and broke them up with short, straight stripes.

FINAL
APPLICATION
My next step was to establish a background for the tiger. I used the Fibonacci sequence and the original phrase, "the stealthy tiger stalks through the jungle," to create a dynamic layout. I primarily focused on incorporating the same sharp lines I used in my original creature mark.
